NAMING

A brand name can evoke emotion, tell a story, or reflect the nature of the service or product. It might be rooted in a family name or simply be a creative invention. While a name can carry deep meaning, simplicity often holds the most power. A well-chosen brand name establishes a strong persona.

 

The naming workshop explores the essence of the brand and business. We discuss the product or service and align it with the target consumer. Through this process, I will develop several name options for review, each carefully considered for its impact. This informs the second and final round of the naming process, ensuring the final name is not only fitting but also inspiring and attractive for all the right reasons.

BRAND DNA

The Brand DNA Workshop is a comprehensive process that uncovers and defines a brand's true persona. By engaging key stakeholders through discussions, interviews, and group exercises, the workshop explores the brand from multiple perspectives, moving beyond the obvious to gain a full understanding of the brand, its competition, market, and audience.

 

This process examines both the logical (benefits, consumer insights) and emotional (core values, personality) aspects of the brand, resulting in a clear, unified vision of the brand’s challenges, objectives, unique value proposition, and key messages.

VISUAL IDENITITY

Visual identity encompasses the elements that represent a company, organisation, or product, such as logos, colour schemes, web design, illustration styles, typography, and overall brand aesthetics. A strong visual identity is purposeful, ensuring that the brand's essence is communicated effectively across all mediums.

BRAND EXPERIENCE 

A successful branded experience extends beyond visuals, creating an immersive environment that turns brand awareness into consumer loyalty. It’s about engaging all touchpoints—physical, digital, and sensory—so that every interaction with your brand is cohesive and memorable. By designing experiences that resonate emotionally and practically with your audience, we build meaningful connections that foster repeat engagement, deepen consumer loyalty, and increase lifetime value with every transaction.

 

The Brand DNA is at the core of your brand. It is the INTERNAL BRANDING. 

 

EXTERNAL BRANDING is the Visual Identity.

 

Visual Identity is what brings people in, while the Branded Experience is what turns them into consumers.

 

A good Branded Experience builds repeat consumers and ideally increases purchase power value with every transaction. The Branded Experience is the MAGNETIC BRANDING that holds consumers to your branded world.

Branding for a city recruitment campaign run by the Halifax Partnership. This was a federally funded program that was aimed at recruiting businesses that would benefit from our location by the ocean.

As part of O2 Wellness’ social brand strategy, I did brand experience work, social standards, template copywriting, entrance design, promotional print, and out-of-home advertising.

Sea Star Seafoods is a Nova Scotian family business that has spanned generations. It was an honour to give them a refreshed look. Here is the rebrand. There was a lot of other work from trade show booth to marketing materials to packaging.

Halifax Partnership was looking for a refresh of a Business Conference workbook and its Annual Report. I revamped their presentation slides, stage design, wayfinding and kit bags for all delegates for their Business Conference. 

For their Annual Report, I coordinated all photography and completed the layout and infographics.
